Paul,

yousendit has some drawbacks. MP3s posted there are limited to a certain number of downloads plus after a few days the material is no longer available for download at all.

A while back (as Sheena is well aware), I toyed with the idea of getting Peter to set up a whole new topic area for posting MP3s of original songs and/or of songs that were simply cut by fellow forum members using their Rickenbacker instruments and/or amplifiers.

If there is sufficient interest generated in having such a section then I would be happy to help in any way that I can to make it a success.

The best thing about yousendit is that the link expires in a week and is available for a limited number of downloads, so it's pretty safe but a bit inconvenient for those who see the thread more than 7 days after the file was posted...
PS: Brian, indeed you type faster than i do!Image

I write and type virtually all day long Sheena. That's why my typing is fairly fast I suppose.

I have used this site for uploading mp3's on clough's classics sometimes.though not sure how many download files if any. One Sheena and I have used successfully too after some trials is box.net, the thing about box.net only those you allow can access the files so technically not a file sharing site though you can make it one if you wish

Another site is filehd

Box.net... Successfully... yep. But as far as i understood, the one who invites should upload files for public share so that they could be downloaded by the other members of the network, while the one who is invited can share with the network creator in private...
There's also rapidshare, if i'm not mistaken... albeit sometimes it's a bit too slow...
