I emailed the seller as well. I wonder if I should respond to the fake email to see what address he wants the payment sent to? I wonder if ebay will really go after these scums.

I replied and got this...

"Hi,

ok, the total price for my item is $
1,800.00 so if you are still interested, please
confirm me your name and address and in few moments
after your reply, I will contact eBay in order to send
you the invoice with the details about this
transaction.

thanks and I will be waiting for your reply."

Once I asked a bogus 2nd chance seller (a different auction) where I could send cash to as I didn't have a credit card, he sent back a (Chinese sounding) name and an address in New York. I mailed back and said that I lived "just around the corner" and "would pay him a vist with some friends" to "finalise the transaction". He never got back to me !!!
