I would love to have a 8 string Ric. Thought about picking up a Hagstrom Viking 8 string but not to sure of it yet. I heard they are pretty good basses, yet IDK :? Maybe someday when i have the money to buy one, a Ric will appear on the bay or somewhere...Muahahahahaha

Many thanks for the info. I'll try and get a pic up soon, along with one of my '64 Rose Morris 2pu 360..(can't remember the 19.. number!). I know that was from a batch of 101, which I read in the Rickenbacker book the other day. Mine is number 99 by the way. No tailpiece though..it had been replaced with a straight bar. It was my first electric, which I got in 1981 for £270 and I'm still playing it now. Thought the bass must be pretty rare as I've only ever come across one twice, once in 1980 when I couldn't afford it, and once in 1995,when I could, (just) and I'm still convinced it was the same guitar on both occasions! Any idea what they might be worth though, just to be on the safe side insurance wise?
Thanks again!
