Well, I've found it. Not exactly 'greenburst' (finish fading to black on the body edge) like I thought it was, but beautiful anyhow.

Would look great on a Rick.

Ah. I've seen Stingrays with that type of paint. Seems very similar to burnt apple, except it's green of course. I'm a real big fan of that type of paintjob. It'd be really interesting to see that green, or even a burnt apple, on a Ric.

Man oh man! Love that purple, but it's a tiny bit too bright for me. That moss green is awesome though.

Photoshop can do wonders, and it makes my job a helluva lot easier. (Though the computer itself makes my job easier in general).

Love the "Kaleidoscopeglo", John!!!

Interested in simulating an "Oceanglo" with no pickguard?

John:
That is so cool! Could you add a gold pickguard & 60's era knobs on the solid green model on the upper right?
Please... :-)

What I like personally is rarely what the largest part of the market likes! I really liked the red guitars with black trim, for instance. Another example for what it's worth: I think the Glenn Frey Edition, all black with silver, is the best looking guitar we've ever made, using my personal taste standards. I like the feel and sound too!

Talk about red guitars with black trim, there was just a '93 red 4003 with black trim sold on ebay for $900 2 days ago.

Eye-catching, indeed.

Oceanglo, Green w/gold/60's knobs etc. are precisely why I wish I had a good 3D model to render at will with any configuration dream-able! Imagine being able to create a print quality "picture" of any "Dream-Ric" to frame and hang!

I have very little experience creating 3D models, but I'm looking into it. I promise to share anything I find or make with my brothers here!

Cool, brother Mortivan!
Take your time.
We can take this brainstorming process nice and slow.

Are we having fun or what!?

It would appear that Paul Yan and I are the only ones who are truly enamored with the "Apple Corp. Green" finish in the pix that got this thread started. And with Mr. Hall so far being discreetly silent concerning that particular finish as a candidate for a 1 year option, well................ Paul, it doeesn't look too good at this point. Considering the decided lack of interest for the "Apple Corp. Green", should we continue our crusade?

By the way, I concur with Mr. Hall's sentiment that prompted his suggestion to "keep your day jobs." Sorry, but the pix of the other suggested finishes just don't do it for me. Anyone truly interested in having a Ric in any of those colors will most likely have to take a MapleGlo and have it re-done by an expert refinisher. Just as Paul Yan and I will probably have to do to get our "Apple Corp. Green" finish. Oh well, I guess some things just aren't meant to be.
