Yep, you're right. Arms dealer.

“I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did.”

An arms dealer...ri-i-i-ght...oh, well, arms dealer, oilman, let's not split hairs. I wonder if he ever dealt in landmines? What a small, funny little world...

Maybe he did find this out and this is behind the divorce? If he didn't know this how well did he really know her and how honest is she? If this is true how did she get away with it all this time, you would think someone would have tipped him off a long time ago. Or is he just so insulated or so big that it would be next to impossible to let him know? Something is very strange here.

Maybe he did know. Maybe his kids knew. He woudln't be the first rock and roller to marry someone formerly of that trade. One of the Allman's did. Jimi Hendrix's bass player did.
>>Something is very strange here.<<
As the Everly's once sang, "love is strange."
I still think it's weird that the main source for these stories was scheduling "dates" for this guy on many occasions in many cities and with many people nearly a quarter of a century ago and not only says he remembers the people involved but also specific events which appear, in his line of work, not very memorable at all.
And the uncropped photos have not yet turned up.
PW says this is cynical on my part. If anything, I'd say naive.
It's ironic that the worlds most famous arms dealer's initials are A.K. (And for a whole year he was 47.)

ABC has a blurb on their national TV segment...Pauly the "Person of the Week."
