He was an arms dealer.

Yep, you're right. Arms dealer.

Paris gets paris-noid anytime she's further back than Page 3.

That is true about Paris. I hope Macca stays away from her, she being blonde and all.

An arms dealer...ri-i-i-ght...oh, well, arms dealer, oilman, let's not split hairs. I wonder if he ever dealt in landmines? What a small, funny little world...

1980s Middle East arms dealer.

That's one rung up from warlord.

Or maybe half a rung up.

I'm relieved Kate Moss will not be prosecuted for drug use. All they had on her is video of her doing it, anyway.

I still say this is Yoko and Paul's big chance for true romance.

ooooo.. that's harsh. Pauly doesn't deserve a horrible fate like that.

Maybe he did find this out and this is behind the divorce? If he didn't know this how well did he really know her and how honest is she? If this is true how did she get away with it all this time, you would think someone would have tipped him off a long time ago. Or is he just so insulated or so big that it would be next to impossible to let him know? Something is very strange here.

Maybe he did know. Maybe his kids knew. He woudln't be the first rock and roller to marry someone formerly of that trade. One of the Allman's did. Jimi Hendrix's bass player did.

>>Something is very strange here.<<

As the Everly's once sang, "love is strange."

I still think it's weird that the main source for these stories was scheduling "dates" for this guy on many occasions in many cities and with many people nearly a quarter of a century ago and not only says he remembers the people involved but also specific events which appear, in his line of work, not very memorable at all.

And the uncropped photos have not yet turned up.

PW says this is cynical on my part. If anything, I'd say naive.

It's ironic that the worlds most famous arms dealer's initials are A.K. (And for a whole year he was 47.)

And when you add 4+7 you get "11."

And I think we all know how significant THAT number is!

Isn't Paul turning 64 this weekend?

For years the talk has been "oh, when he turns 64 like the song", but it doesn't appear it'll be his happiest of birthdays.

I guess she won't be sending him a "birthday greeting, bottle of wine"...

Seeing as he's not been losing his hair, I hope he stays out 'til quarter to three.

Doing the garden, digging the weeds was such a Harrigeorgison thing.

Happy Birthday Macca.
