So Howard, what is the difference between the vinatge 330's with the 21 fret neck, and the modern 330 with the 24 in your opinion?

I don't have a vintage 330, John, and have never played one, so I'm not much use to you there.

Oh, I must be mistaken, I thought the pic of all the nice rickenbackers was yours Howard! My bad! Sorry!

OK, looking at the picture I see you have what could be a 1997? Or a Pete Townshend? And a 360wb, both appear to have the 21 fret neck. And you have a modern 330.
I mistook those to be vintage 330's. The bodies are certainly close though.
Great collection!

Thanks, John. Left to right they are:
660/12 - 2004
360v64 - 1999
330/6 - 2004
4003 - 2004
1997 - 1998
350/6 - 1991
620/6 - 2002 (I think!)
Cheers!

Hi Ozover50,
Very nice collection! Let me ask you where do you get the money for all those guitar stands.

Welcome to the site, Frank. Nice to see you're from Long Island, i'm from Staten Island. Always nice finding new people from the area on the forum.

Actually Howard, you kind of do. John wants a comparison of a 330 with a 21 fret neck vs. a 330 with a 24 fret neck. Besides the F-hole, your 1997 is a 330 with a 21 fret neck.
John, a neck position toaster on a 21 fret Rick is one of my absolute favorite guitar tones. It's not muddy in the slightest - it's well-defined but can still do the jazz thang.

Hi John,
Thanks for the welcome. Nice to see fellow New Yorker's who love Ric's.

Yep.... the authorities oughta do something about the price of stands, Frank. Outrageous, IMO....
