To me Ronn that makes sense. I've always said that their was something wrong with 40-50 musicians trying to look like 20 year old Beatles. Afterall, it's the music that counts, and I know you guys put in a lot of hard work to get it right. Just my thoughts.
Do you have an updated email address. I was trying to email you about the MMT bass but it came back. Would you mind providing your email address? Thanks

Hey Ronn,
For what it's worth at this point your band does an incredible job recreating the music of the Beatles. Even though I have never seen you guys live I love what you guys are all about. This thread seems to be mostly about bands that look like and play like the Beatles. So that's probably why you just got a passing mention. Don't think we forgot about you 'cause how could we?
BTW your work with Ouch is incredible too IMO.

Thanks Brian(s)!
OUCH! played again Friday, was a great show and well received. More people "get it" than I figured. The Eggmen played Friday and Saturday, Saturday's show was packed. It was outdoors, in June, in Texas, but the place reached capacity during our 1st set and I could see, from the elevated stage, at least 50 or 60 people outside the gates that couldn't get in. It was a rare, no-cover show at a pretty big, outdoor venue here.
My email is:

Oh, I fergot one cool thing. I think everyone knows the band 1964. We're doing a big radio promotional show with them later this year(I think maybe October), in San Antonio. They will play the early Beatles, then we'll come on and do the later tunes. Should be a blast.

>>>Of the six bands shown above, four of the Pauls are wearing their basses too low.
yup, and the Backbeat John has the same problem.
Ronn:... that is sooooo coool. Can you take some pix backstage and so forth and post them here? 1964 is the real deal. (and so are the Eggmen)

Good point on the low-slung basses! Hey Ronn -- do your guitarists play the solos exactly like the record or do they improvise? Almost every guitarist I've played with would scream bloody hell if asked to play someone else's solo exactly. Bass players like you and I don't seem to have that problem

Ronn - "We do wear matching suits and Beatle boots..." but do you have a sign on the back of the car, and are you ready to work in a go-go bar?

I saw these guys at BB King's in NYC.
I saw 1964 a week later, and, while Strawberry Fields dressed in costumes and transcended the Beatles' career, 1964 seemed more like a Beatles concert would have been, and had a better choice of songs to me.

I agree. I'd rather see a band do the early stuff really well instead of thru-the-ages kind of thing. But then I'm all hung up on early Beatles.
Strawberry Fields

(hey George, wrong model of Gretsch)

Dave, yes, we try to play it just like the record, including guitar solos. One of the great things about our show, for us anyway, tho' it's a fan fave, is the 3rd set where we play other Brit Invasion bands. We aren't quite as picky on these as we are the Beatle tunes, and there's a bit more freedom to deviate, especially on the Who tunes. They get a bit out of control sometimes.

You have to admit that playing a stadium as a band that strictly plays covers must be pretty exciting, even if the audience is probably only there to pretend it's '65 again.
