Andrew: A very good idea. No "dints" for wints.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

I got a real surprise when I tried to ship a guitar by FedEx Ground earlier today: they would not insure it for more than $100. To get higher insurance coverage, I would have had to ship it by one of the Express services, at minimally double the price. Needless to say, I will not deal with FedEx at all in the future.
Now, I need to check the definition of "extortion" in my dictionary ...

Gary, I've circumvented the whole insurance issue by purchasing my own stand-alone marine cargo policy, which covers any guitar I buy or sell up to a value of $5000 whilst it is in transit anywhere in the world. The annual premium is around $250.

either way-no company has an exclusive on morons hired.
OOOOPS left my LK in the rain, in the driveway. Only the double RIC boxing saved it.
FedUp delivered a V63 with a beautiful size 10 footprint on the box-broken p'up mount. 6 weeks to refund.
USPOS delived an Ampeg V4-BH with a trapezoidal enclosure.
can say that FedUp settled the quickest, funny how a emailable digital image w/time stamp can help expedite the process.

Same thing happened to me today. $100 max on FedEx ground, $500 max on air...
