The other drummer in Best's band is Pete's brother Roag who also co-manages him. There was an article in the local paper (6 days after his performance) with a bunch of pictures but not many comments from Best. No interview, which is a shame. It did state that they drove two days from Kansas City to Liverpool NY which is on the outskirts of Syracuse. They were doing a mini tour of Liverpool before his show. It was a little promotion thing set up by a member of a local band called the Fab Five that actually went to England to perform in a Beatle tribute fest. He does not not sign any autographs until after the show and then he stays and signs them all. That was pretty much all the information in the article other than fans comments and the Liverpool comparisons.

Pete and the band were kind enough to kick off their Fall tour on my behalf in Kansas City (it was a fundraiser for my campaign for the state legislature). Having seen them at numerous gigs and played with them as well, I can state unequivocally that Pete Best has plenty of chops and has nothing to apologize for. Maybe in those early years he had a different style (didn't we all?) and didn't benefit from hearing a session drummer like Andy White lay down the beat the way the producer wanted it, but in 2006, Pete Best's drumming is superb. His brother Roag's no slouch either!
