Was Geddy's 3001 modded at all? I know he didn't play it much, but I don't recall him having changed it. Same with his 4002 . . . did he put a BadAss on that as well?

Gaye Adverts' wasn't modded if memory serves....

How about Paul Goddard of the Atlanta Rythym Section ???

A very under-rated player. He had great Rick tone with ARS.

Cliff did modify his 4001 just before the ``Kill'em all`` recording sessions. He had an interference problem...A Gibson humbucker ( from a T-Bird )was put up the neck and a J bass pick up at the bridge...Sadly he later went to Aria's Pro II series...( His Alembic Spoiler was stolen )
