I had a minor problem with my 4003 blueboy. I contacted my dealer (Mike Parks), I sent it to him, he checked it out, aggreed with me, he sent it back to RIC, they repaired it, and sent it directly back to me all in less than 2 weeks from Ohio.
Somewhere in there I had a very conforting phone conversation with Kenny Howes also.
In the end I felt very taken care of.

Do you have any fingernails (or fingers, for that matter) left, Richard?

Relax, Richard.... they will look after it. Counting the days won't help - it'll drive you (and us) nuts!!

I know, Richard.... I've been through it myself - not with one of my Ricks, though. Hang in there!

Richard,
Just think how I felt after McCartney II was released. I had to wait almost two years for the next album to be released. Thankfully it was Tug of War!

So you know how I felt with "Driving Rain" waiting for "Chaos"

Exactly. Although Driving Rain is Sgt. Pepper compared to McCartney II. But I know what you mean.

Is that the general consensus on MCII?
It's the only Macca album I ever purchased that I couldn't get into. I played it once. Drivel.

Well then you must not have purchased Wings at the Speed of Sound.

You're right. I don't own it.
But I've heard enough of "Let 'Em In" and "Silly Love Songs" to have cavities in three molars, as well as a dead spot in my right prefrontal lobe.

I love the bass line for "Silly Love Songs". I prefer the live version to the album version because their are no swirling strings live. Denny's "Time to Hide" is pretty good. "Let 'Em In" isn't one of his best efforts. I read a review that said this was an album you listen to while doing housework. Too Bad! Speed of Sound is a great album title. I was hoping it had tracks that rocked like Junior's Farm or Hi Hi Hi. That would have lived up to the title.

It's got to be the worst solo Macca album ever. A shame, too. When I heard he was recording it, I was eagerly anticipating it, since I've always loved 'McCartney'.
'McCartney II' is closely followed by 'Press To Play' in badness.
