'81... I don't know. Fat horns, weak neck, baby headstock, none of the "features"...
The Golden Year for me is 1973, just because my first Ric, that I wish I hadn't sold, was a '73 Jetglo. No crushed pearl inlays by the end of that year and no checkerboard binding, but they did have thin necks, half-inch pickup spacing, and a Plexi TRC. And you could order them in Azureglo!
