It always sounded like George on the deep slow count, and then Paul leading the band in. The fast count doesn't sound "funny" ala Lennon. It sounds enthusiastic like Paul.

Regarding 'Your Mother Should Know', doesn't it say in the Anthology liner notes that George Martin was absent that day, and that Paul is both asking the absent George Martin the question, and answering himself in George Martin's voice? In other words, aren't both voices Paul, one high (so to speak) and child-like, the other deep, decisive and parental?

Don't have the notes at work to check. (I know, I should...)
