Dave, it does sound good, loads of balls and grunt, but it doesn't sound like a RIC.

You're welcome, guys. Please hold on a couple hours while I finish a translation for the Odyssey Channel (!) and I'll be right with you. Cheers.

Okay. Done.
A Tele pickup on a Rick? Lovely. A wooden mounting plate? No comments. That beauty is begging for the real thing, period. I'll include a mounting plate with the pickup, Bob. As for the defective Grover tuner, I might (just might) have a couple of working "wavy" Grovers somewhere around here. Only problem is that they're not "wavy" anymore: the guy I got them from had reshaped them to look "non-wavy"...
Hey Steve, on which one of your Rick basses will you be installing the new pickup?

Sergio, I'm sure the epoxy on the Grover will do the trick, but thank you for your kind offer anyway.
I will have to try and get two of the mounting bolts as well as the Tele PUP was fixed with wood screws with domed heads. I know, I know.....
Sergio, I am so excited about fitting the new PUP. I just know this baby is going to be a total tone monster.

What are you going to do with the Tele bass pup that was in there?
I'd suggest to sell it on ebay or give it to a pickup maker who likes to do research on oddball pickups like a friend of mine from
www.sdpickups.com.

"A total tone monster" is putting it mildly hehehe...
I wish I had a couple those large height adjustment screws to send your way, but I only have one and use it for cutting threads on the mounting plates I fashion.

Sergio, no problem, I think I have a lead on a pair.
