EVERY time I play. It's like if you can HEAR the bass it's too loud! Frustrating.

Yeah, I started to think that he is allergic to low frequencies if there is such a thing.

I play in my church's praise band, and we have a full ensemble. All my Ricks work very well, and sound great. I hear the same thing from time to time about volume too. Playing in a church is sometimes like playing in a school gym. Nonetheless, I hope when I leave this world, the Lord will have a praise band waiting for me to join and I'll get to play all over the universe!

Our sound guy is always telling the bass player he can't hear him...then again, he's not playing a RIC.

I used to drive the sound guys crazy when playing my Rics....the union jack was a shocker too for most people in that church(even though they thought they were 'cutting edge')

Rics do not belong in churches, they are too sinful.

haha! Where's the heavenly bottom?
You just need to remind sound guys who is working for whom, if it wasn't for musicians they wouldn't have a job, works like a charm usually although there is a vestige of 70's arrogance left in some of them. Many soundmen are control freaks, they think they are playing with a big giant stereo. And then again many of them set the sound to their own personal tastes, but on the whole I'd have to say that many soundmen have gotten much better over the years to the point of using mic's on bass amps etc.
