If I were a real bass player and not a hack, I'd say something witty here ...

"And since I like thin necks on my 5'ers..."
You should try my Zon, in that case. It may be at MARF II.

"It's all very exciting, Charly! I remember my first 4004. ::sniff:: "
I post that both to show John B's first, and to rub tonight's 12 degrees, 15MPH winds, and blowing hard snow in my own face. I CANNOT wait for summer.....

Cool John! I LOVE that color/wood scheme! Maybe Dane will talk me into getting Walnut body wings and a maple fretboard!! Nah, but I may be persuaded to see it as a MG, depending on the grain details.
I almost got a Geddy Lee Jazz when I bought the Rock Bass, just because I like the looks of maple fretboards.

It shows on hold at POR! He said it would ship today. So.......this time next week..
I noticed Jeff said something about BEAD not being very good to him. I am looking at just strings to see if I can find a thin (so I don't have to mess with the nut) set to try.

Hey Charly...I can't talk you into anything unless you actually CALL ME! Check your messages. After 6:30PM is a good time.

Mapleglo Cheyennes are nice!

By the way, I think a .132 is a bit thick on a B string. Try a .125. Either way the nut is only slotted for .105.

I lost your number, and am at Island Def JAM, So I am in a bit of a hurry. I'll look into things tonight! I got the shipping notice! It will arrive at my work on Tuesday, and I don't get back from Escondido til Thursday. Since I won't be there, do I have to do the thing that the east coasters do, as in, wait 24 hours before opening case? It did come from Jersey. I don't mind the boys looking at it, but if it could cause problems, I can tell them to wait a day!

By the time it was delivered to your office, it will have been here in Cali for at least 24 hours so I don't think the usual wait is needed. Then again, I like being the first one to open up my new basses when they arrive. It just isn't the same if someone else sees them first.

I just love my Warwick Corvette for a back up. Fantastic tone and sustain. You can flame me here but for the fretless sound I prefer it from my 4001 FL. I love this bass.

I never liked Warwicks very much, but you won't get any flaming from me! I know Jeff Scott judges his fretless basses on which has the most "mwah".

I prefer my fretless basses to have the most "bwah" actually.

In reference to something jb said earlier, I happen to have a brand new toaster! It is for guitar, as it is not threaded. I'm thinking I have the right one for the 4004? I assume the threading was because of the cavity on a 4003.
As Dennis Miller would say, "of course, I could be wrong"!
