Strings

I put a set of TI' flats (which are very bright sounding for a flatwound) on about two months ago and they still sound identical to the day I put them on, and I play this bass a lot. I find this amazing as I am not a light player. Blue Steels are fairly long lasting and decent sounding to muy ears too, and the original equipment Ric strings are long lasting (which are very sweet sounding strings they currently are the only RW's I like). Pyramids Gold flats also sound great and are long lasting.
I hate to trash Rotos but they were usually dead as a door nail in two months when I used to use them, and I used them for more than 20 years. (slow learner)

The city has 8 million people in it and two cops, and all of them drive 25 year old diesal cars, and all of them are trying to beat the same light at the same intersection at the same time for starters, but in two weeks you'll find it very exciting to know there are at least twenty ways of losing your life here every day (19.95% by car or bus), LOL. I like it here but it is probably not for your average Joe. But e-mail me and I'll fill you in.
