All I know is if you call Rickenbacker hdqtrs., the person will answer, "Good Morning/afternoon, RickenBACKer".Good enough for me.Then again, quoting from McGuinn[quoting Dylan, and taking poetic licence here]on Cardiff Rose, the song "Up To Me", at the end, Roger sings,"and the RickenBOCKer 'round my neck"....go figure...

I have a friend here in Lima from Scotland and he pronounces Bob entirely different than I do, LOL very very quickly almost like there is no O in it, he kind of spits the word out.

Seems noone German here, right?
I am german and I had a good laugh while reading this threat!

RickenBACHER is pronounced RICK-EN-BACHER with the ch like in Loch Ness and the a like in Bach.

I pronounce Rickenbacker with an open a like bock.

Hope it helps

Since we're on the topic of different pronuciations of "Rickenbacker," here's an interesting one: This is a gaming token from the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, and it says "RICKENBACER" on it.... I wonder how they think it is pronounced? You'd think they would have researched the spelling before they cut the die for the token! Image

They should have put a 4001 on the token instead, since it looks like they might pronounce it "Ricken-basser"....
