Did you pick it up and strum it a few times Larry?

In my dreams! It was close enough to the glass to see all the details. Plus you could see it from the side to check out the straight neck and low action. Next time I'll take it out for a strum(right).

Yes, we'd all like to see the original(that DeMarino has) back on V81. I don't think it will ever happen though. If John hadn't been murdered I'm sure he would have eventually had Ron put the original back on.

I'm not sure if our John would have had him put it back on or not. John was no where as deep into his gear as we are.

Not so sure Dan. I think he might be saying..."hmmm saw that wj350's c58 with the gold PG in a pic on the Rickresource...I know that guy is awesome, I think I need to get mine back to that look..."
(and, yes I DO like the color of the sky in my world)

That gold guard sure did go with the natural wood finish better for sure. I remember watching In His Life and from the first glimpse in Germany it looked great.
Great looking guitar for a great writer. It certainly became his trademark and he didn't even have to use it forever like Paul did. Just Imagine how cool it would be to have him alive today touring with it.
Gold Guard on of course.

I think it would be cool to have him alive right now, touring or not.

If Lennon was still alive, how do ya know if he might not have, say, acquired a new C58 and donated his old one to some charitable cause, like Clapton did with some of his stuff?

He'd be older and wiser.
