"You're My Drug" - The Dukes of Stratosphear (XTC)
This song was very inspired by the circa-1967 Byrds, and also features some great phased lead guitar runs that sound like Nazz-era Todd Rundgren. How's THAT for musical hairsplitting? I believe that Rundgren himself also used a Rick 12 on a few Nazz tracks from their 2nd album, "Nazz Nazz". Cool stuff!

Oh, What a Crying Shame - The Mavericks...Note, I may stand corrected here as Raul Malo uses a Gibson SG DoubleNeck 12-string live, and the CD sound is a little toneless for a Ric, but they DID use a 330 12 for the Video at least.

I'd like to chime in with some more '80s era jangle (not sure of actual guitar used):
Million Miles Away- The Plimsouls
Best Friend- English Beat
From the prog '70s: Dance On A Volcano- Genesis (complete with twelve string, Taurus pedals, AND Mellotron!)

These are also on my 12string list: -
You Bowed Down - Elvis Costello (with Roger McGuinn)
Echo & the Bunnymen - Lips Like Sugar / The Killing Moon
2000 Miles - Pretenders
And another not recorded on a 12 string but sounds great with one is Deadstar - Run Baby Run.

Rick Germany wrote:
Are you sure about the Hitchcock song? I saw him in concert a long time ago and he played that song on a six string acoustic of some type.
Yes,
In fact the video for that song had him playing a fireglo 360.

"It's My Life" by the Animals. A 12 does a prominent riff through out the song.

Kenny,
Just running thru this post and noticed the Turtles "Outside Chance" ....... really a good pick.... Caught them a few times in the 60s, Al really kept his end of the stuff kind of simple, but memorable..... (Yep this is John with the 330 MG 6 & 12)

I am also reminded of the Beach Boys stuff (duh!) where Carl played one of two 360/12FG models he used (one OS, one new). "Help Me Rhonda" intro, is that a Ric XII?

I seem to remember Paul weller playing a 360/12 on the Jam's 'Funeral Pyre'. Sure sounds like a 12 string on steroids.
