What I enjoy the most from the Woodstock soundtrack, is With a little help from my friends. Especially Grease Band's contribution, providing beautiful female backing vocals!

Having started the thread, I can now conclude it. The event was actually last Saturday and was a great success. There was a live band who played some Woodstock, but a lot of other tracks also. I did a lot of dancing. For the record (pun) here are the top 20 tracks I included on a CD I recorded from my computer:-

Sorry coming to this late.
I almost never come here.

I can't find much positive to say about Woodstock(69). Not even much memorable music.

Huh!? WHAT!!??
Were you there? Did you at least see the movie?

I won't even begin to go into the first issue. There are a million positive things to say about Woodstock. One of them being that I was there and had a great time. (Though I do regret leaving early.)

As far as the music goes there was tons of great sounds. The Who did an awesome set including "Tommy." Janis was outstanding. The Airplane were incredible (without any sleep too).
Sly was Sly. Nothing more needs to be said. CSN&Y! Havens. And on and on.

True some bands had very off days/nights ... The Dead, ISB, etc. Hey, it happens.

A year and a half ago I went back to the site for the first time. It was very surreal. I'll have to find the photos and post them.

Well, Roy, now that you mentioned it . . .

Remember a long time ago when I first joined there was the question of what this Topic was about? I pointed out that the description that Peter stated in a post did not match the written description. So the description was changed to now read "with particular emphasis on British music."

Not that I have anything against British music of the 50s and 60s but most if not all of the posts are about bands, places, etc. I know nothing about. That is why I never glance here.

But I'll take a peek now and then, thanks.
