I'd love to try an Alembic someday. Seems like a nice line of basses.

Hey Dane,
I don't know, I haven't heard from him yet. You know, with all the excitement going on, I forgot to even call him! I'll give him a ring in the am!
Man, it's horrible getting old! I apologize about that, I'll get on his butt first thing in the morning.
Hey Greg,
Oh they are sweet, but EXPENSIVE!

I only have three Alembics, a four string Series II custom, and both a five and a six string version too. The biggest boost is that they are full 24-fret basses, and the woodwork is to die for. The price too. The Series II with all the options, in Macassar ebony, were like $25K and take a LONGGG time to arrive. Almost as long as Rickenbacker
Like the Ricks, the wait is well worth it though...

You paid 25K for a bass? You're my hero Elys!

This guy spent 30K and almost ended up in divorce court! His Mrs. MADE him sell it for 15K!!!!
The WORST thing about Alembics, is their RESALE! For some reason, they DROP LIKE A STONE when they are used. A $8500.00 bass will sell for $3000.00 when it's only about a year old.

I really like the triple omegas, but 30K? I could have anything I wanted built for less than 5K probably. I just don't get Alembics in this regard. I guess someone's gotta pay for their weed.

LOL! "buy their weed"
Brian, RIC owes you a commission for sure!
Yeah Bob, I know, I'm trying to sneak out monthly payments so the BOSS doesn't pull a "Bobbit" on me!
When I was younger, I used to do this with CD's, I'd get home a little early, sneak it into the case and all was well. These darn things are a little too big to do that with!
Funny Dave, I thought this would have been more your speed! Those Dragon's Wings are BEAUTIFUL!

"Brian, RIC owes you a commission for sure!"
I'm sure JH will have my complimentary silver 4004L/8 prototype in route as compensation shortly. Thanks in advance!

There you go!
You HAVE to be responsible for the large majority of the 4004's being sold on this forum.
Sounds like you and JH have things well in hand!
A 4004L/8 BC! I like it!
