But the only Ric I have that requires a horseshoe (and has one) is an NS lapsteel...

Anyway, why would I want to be like you guys? :P

I just want to know if that flying disc really is a FrisbeeĀ®. We wouldn't want any trademark abuse now would we. Image

The black treble pickup for the 4003 is over $150 now. I really wanted that one. Still a few hours left to think about it.

I guess I am ignorant, but I thought the treble pickup was the one just below the neck?

Also, in the picture of this pickup, the cover wings (where the screws go through the cover) are above the pickup surround. Don't those usually get tucked underneath the surround?

IIRC, Wham-o (sp?) came out with the original Frisbee in the early/mid 1960s, so I would assume that there are no patent issues by the time that was made. It would only be an issue in using the term "Frisbee" as if it were a common name instead of a trademark ... now, hand me a kleenex while I xerox these papers! Image

Greg, treble = bridge, bass = neck. The cover appears to be correctly tucked under the surround:

The screw is on the surround, not the cover.
