These are all great posts and this is a great topic. Christopher, your comments in particular struck a chord with me.

Christopher, his new album may reflect some "hurt". It will be great to hear it for the first time.

What?!? I stay away from this fine Rick Resource site for a couple of months due to work, and I come back, and there's McCartney bashing!!!

I'm home!

Hi guys...Hey Richard, how are things? No, I won't jump with my two cents. I have nothing to add, except to agree that there have been some very good points brought up in this thread.

Mick, just for the record... I wasn't bashing McCartney. Just his websites.

>It continues, Yoko and Elliot Mintz have a lot at >stake keeping the stories alive, subtly molding the >image of Lennon.

Elliot Mintz was Lennon's publicist. He now is Paris Hilton's publicist. He attempted to take the blame for her drunk driving escapade but the judge didn't buy it. He resigned, but only for a few minutes (such is the craving some have to touch fame vicariously). Anything he has to say about Lennon isn't worth listening to, IMO...he's a mere Yoko mouthpiece. Lennon himself seems to have eventually came to the conclusion that he's a pathetic little man. (boy, I'm cranky today LOL)

I thought he still worked for Yoko as well. He had input on the self described "definitive" Lennon book.

I remember when he was a DJ on KLOS (then KABC-FM) out here.

I can't imagine Yoko ever firing *anyone*, due to her paranoia about details of her personal life getting out...I remember her saying she considered suicide when she heard the Goldman book about John was coming out.

"Lennon himself seems to have eventually came to the conclusion that he's a pathetic little man."

Really? I was under the impression they were friends until the end. I agree Elliot Mintz is an opportunistic maggot who has insinuated himself into every aspect of Lennon's estate. I'm just wondering where you heard John had begun to become aware. That would be a nice thought.

WOW!! I know I'm way late on this one but, I really like McCartney II. Certainly not his worst work IMHO. SIMER YOU DA MAN!
