If they resume production, will they have the 'new' thinner neck? My '97 (#690) is a bit chunky. I still love her but you know.......

My '91 redefines the term "pencil neck". It's even thinner than my '72.

you could always do what chris did in the first place and just shave the neck and repaint it...(ducking)....:-)

Woody, this is what Ken S, (a forum member that I miss being here, even though we had a bit of a public tussle once) did to at least one if not two V63's. They looked stunning after exceptionally good refins and I came damn close to buying one as well.

"You could always do what Chris did in the first place and just shave the neck and repaint it..."

I'd shave that baseball bat neck in a New York minute. I'd also re-do the pickguard so it looks like his and put the original on Ebay...(ducking with woody..Image)

bob-i think that person you refer to is the same one who did a (really fine) remake on my decidedly non-standard 4002 after i sold it. i take off my hat to him and people like dane who have the vision, and the ability to do this sort of thing-my idea of customizing my instruments is changing out the volume/tone knobs.......if i don't like something as it is,i usually sell it!
