Maybe I should add that I dropped the idea to use humbuckers. I just have to get used to these 7.4k toasters still. But I found out, that the tone knobs of the 325C64 help me to overcome the problems with these pickups. Turning them down a little helps to get along with the amp and distortion pedal settings I am used to.

What I really like about the C64 is its acoustic tone (but only after I have replaced the roller bridge and RIC accent). Played without an amp this guitar is much louder than my 325V59. And despite the fact that it is more hollow, it also seems to have more sustain. The vintage tuners are also surprisingly good - the guitar stays in tune very well.

Doctorno, did you just connect the trapeze by the strap pin or did you drill extra holes in the guitar? If you just connected it by the strap pin, does it seem stable? Also, does the string angle improve with the trapeze over the accent? Thanks!

Chris: I have sent you an e-mail with a detailed answer. The string angle improves with the trapeze tailpiece. You get more pressure on the bridge. The result is a better tone and better playability. Connecting the trapeze tailpiece with the strap pin only works, but using the four additional screws makes it more stable.
