Here's the look I was talking about. I'm not a fan of Fender style basses but I just love this one and the inlays on the maple board is a big reason why.

Forum member Kent Fletcher has a stripped 360 Tuxedo with black trim. Look here.

Someone can buy it and have it finished in non-yellowing white. This can be the first real white Tux - as they were intended to be.

Call me old fashioned but I prefer an unbound dot neck on a Jazz.

An unfinished instrument: How about a Redneck Tuxedo? Or a Coolmint Tux?

Ooooh....I like the Coolmint Tux idea. I should've bought her! Turning her into a Blackstar would have been good too.

I'm sorry, but there's something just too fat about a 5 string Jazz bass. I used to like them for the nice thin taper on the neck until I got my first 4001.

I've still got a soft spot for the old Jazz bases though.

Was the Tux bought by a Forumite?

Nice bass. I can't believe it went so cheap.

Yep, it was a good deal for someone.

$1330 is cheap? I guess there's a premium for a bass that's "10% more focused"...but then again, matched to my Marshall that goes to 11, the possibilities could have been endless...

$1330 would certainly have been a good price in the UK. I must confess that I had a bit of a thing for this bass, but I wasn't around for the last day or two of the auction, otherwise it might have gone for a wee bit more...
