I've used Scratch X and Zymol on both my Les Paul Custom and my custom shop Les Paul Special with great success, as well as my 3 Ricks. I find it keeps that "wet" look to your Ricks, and has really made an improvement to my Gibsons. It's not a quick spray and wipe affair, but well worth the effort to use.

Keep in mind, that a bottle of Zymol will last you for years as you use very little of it, even applying multiple coats, and it's something you don't have to do all the time, as once you have a good coat you can just wipe them down without having to apply. Your mileage will vary, depending on if you're gigging every night or jammin every now and then. Anyways, worth every penny, and that coconut smell is a very nice touch.

Best Polish?

I nominate:

1. Zbigniew Brzezinski

2. The ones you can get from that stand (Jody's?) on the Venice beach walk.

I nominate Ingrid Pitt from The Wicker Man (1973).

Yep. Bizarre film, but a perfect example from that era of British atmospheric thrillers!

I was quite fond of Karol Wojtyła.

Now the other kind of Polish... I still like liquid Turtle Wax with the white top...

if you've never experienced The Zymol Redemption, you don't know what you're missing!

Turtle Wax is fine, period.

Zymol is:

1. Pricey (compared to Turtle Wax 123)

2. A bit of work to apply

3. Best used following a good polishing with Swirl-X or any one of the available scratch/swirl removers

4. Like I said, a bit of work.

But, you get results like this:
