I have read this thread several times and cannot figure where this is directed. It seems Manuel is trying to point a finger without actually pointing it, at someone here.
Manuel, PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong about this, but I have no way of knowing since you're just not quite specific enough.
Yes Mike, you are wrong, besides, it's not nice to point fingers at anyone.
To reiterate, I am merely saying that, in my opinion, those that profiteer from others designs without giving them their rightful credit, are no better than those that copy and fake and forge.
That's as clear as I can make it unfortunately.

Thanks, for clearing that up Manuel. Sorry I mistook your meaning! It's so clear, after all.
You MUST be referring to someone here, on this forum. Why? Because why would a criminal who was making fake TRCs (for example) and selling them give credit for the design.
So, my only remaining question is, who here?
And if that is your point, why not just say it?
I have officially lost interest.
Carry on, gentlemen.

But John DID give credit to his mom!
Sorry Manuel, I've read it all but what you say just does not seem to connect with any of it. I do understand your personal feelings about theft of intellectual property...when it happens to you it becomes a much more passionate topic.
But its usually "nicer" to be blunt and honest about something, rather than to insinuate something negative without deigning to back it up. I'm just saying.

Why indeed.
I don't have the slightest inkling about what you are saying. Maybe you can clarify.
Who am I referring to do you think? Please let me know. Is there someone here that you know I should be referring to?
Why "MUST" I be referring to someone here?? Do you know something I don't?

Manuel, please see the rest of my post above:

Have a lot of fun!

Slight correction (if you don't mind), if you prefer to use a honorific before my name (but you don't have to, really), in my case that it would have to be "Senhor" or "Sir", by ancestry.
Sointenly, Senhor Birrento!

Oh, I see. You guys are thinking I'm referring to John Hall?
Well, no.
I know some of the published story of RIC. I haven't read anywhere where he claims to have designed something he personally hasn't in connection with the instruments.
One thing I would commend him for is for the keeping of the instruments alive. I know nothing about him otherwise.

It would seem many of us are mis-reading each other's posts, so I apologize for anything I've misconstrued.
I found it difficult to gauge the direction of much of this latest discussion.
RE: 'trolling'
For example: posting something known to be inflammatory to start a heated discussion. If this was not anyone's intent, then sorry for thinking that, but that's how it read to me.
It seems to be common practice on many other forums, regardless of subject matter.

Kevin, with all respect due (and i really mean that), imho, "trolling" most often happens in the "heavily-moderated" communities - mean, communities where, when something that could be read two (three, etc) ways is posted, moderators and/or participants read it in the worst way possible & see "bad intentions" when and where possible. Mean, "trolls" are seeking for reaction ("food"). If the community doesn't react (doesn't "feed" them), they soon lose interest; but if it does react ("feeds the trolls"), they come again and call their "friends". I hope we (mean members of this forum) will not be looking for trolls especially among us.

I just read this thread. There's three minutes of my life I'll never get back.
