I may be wrong (and I'm sure I'll be corrected if I am), but didn't all of the RIC's that were painted white in the past yellow very badly, and quickly?

The degree of yellowing depends upon many factors, and we've seen at least one that did not yellow at all (right, Wints?).

Among the factors are clearcoat formula (how much UV inhibitor, if any, was originally in the formula), environmental factors like sunlight, atmospheric ozone, tobacco, and whether you were breast-fed or bottle-fed as a tyke.

Actually (and I probably shouldn't let the cat of the bag but this is a close group), they will be releasing the Jim Creasy Model. Plans now are to make a run of 500, but I'm pushing for 1000... Being vain and all that. Whew! These last few months have been a whirlwind, but it's been fun, I can tell you.

So there you have it... News is out. Only, I'm not going to tell you which Rick it is based on or the special mods... I will tell you that it will come in only one color... JackassGlo!

Yeah, but which SHADE of JAG? :P Early JAG, which is darker, or late JAG, the more transparent one that lets the walnut wings show through?

The later version, of course. (Funny one by the bye).

Sorry--I couldn't resist posting that again!

(Just had to see if I could still post pics on the "new" forum, LOL!)
No need to apologize. I, for one, never get tired of seeing that picture.

I'm hoping 5002V58's are on the horizon.

I think that plenty of guitar manufacturers produce white guitars. I even have a 2005 "Arctic White" MIM Tele. While I am sure that the process is not easy, I can't imagine that it couldn't be accomplished by RIC with relative ease if they wanted to. I'm tending to believe that they don't because they can't keep up with orders as it is.

Ampeg once sold a guitar shaped like that, all acrylic horns and lyre-ish bits.
