Track #4?

Fantastic job, guys! I'm impressed.

JB- Its REALLY nice to hear a young bass player these days that can actually PLAY BASS! You ROCK, my friend!

The writing, singing, and guitar work also get a big high five!

Let me know when you tour!

#74 on Absolute Powerpop's Top 125 of 2007.

My favorite site for powerpop discoveries. This guy is good at finding stuff. I did send him the Janglemen however.

Very nice. I hope it is not too presumptuous of me to suggest that Paul McCartney influenced John's style.

You guys are too kind, thanks! :D

Jeff, track 4 is actually the v68 with the mutes up.

Peter, i'd say "influenced" is too weak a word to describe it.

Now reviewed at Absolute Powerpop:

With all of my limited (at this time of year) time for the blog being devoted to assembling the year-end lists, I've started to get a backlog of discs I've been meaning to mention. So before I head out for New Year's Eve (and before I spend tomorrow watching football), here are a few discs to consider while waiting for the big ball to drop:

The Janglemen-Tearjerker & 9 Others. The eagle-eyed among you may have noticed that this late-year release made the top 125 at #74 yet had no previous mention on the site. That oversight is remedied now, as this New York City band wins the Truth-In-Advertising Award; "jangle" is the operative sound here, and they'll appeal big time to fans of Bobby Sutliff, Walter Clevenger, Roger McGuinn, etc. In other words, Rickenbacker heaven.

Many thanks for posting this, Todd. It was the first time that I saw it and I'm sure the Janglemen will be quite chuffed about being compared to Walter C. and Roger G.

I heard that, too. I stopped by the Janglemen's MySpace page and listened to "Her and I," and "Tearjerker." This is great stuff. The lyric craft is top notch. I guess I'm going to have to lighten my wallet by $10.00.
P.S. Just sent a request to be added to My Friends.
