Greg, yep they're great. Mary Ann asked me what I wanted for Christmas, and I had been following several different types of Beatles figurines, but these just are so cool--I just scored a repro Ringo drum head on the 'bay, which I'm going to hang as a backdrop for my little band!! :D

I need to spend a little more time practicing now instead of decorating!!

:D

That's the thing, we normally don't buy each other gifts.
But I'd say a piano trumps my guitar!

Hell, the house trumps the whole thread! Well, maybe except for a couple of the posting gents (DT & JB) activities!

My guitarist bought me these CDs:
Return to Forever - Hymn of the Seventh Galaxy
Allan Holdsworth - Road Games
A John Coltrane retrospective

With a portion of my bonus from work, I bought 2 Ashdown MAG 4x10 cabs...now I have three 4x10 and a 2x10 of the MAG series. Incredible cabs for the price. My high end SWR cabs are now for sale.

I heard portions of Dirt Farmer and a related interview with Levon on the radio one night. Great stuff. His daughter's singing on it too, IIRC.

Cheers for a guy who beat throat cancer!

Yes! Dirt Farmer has been in heavy rotation in my car this week. I love Levon's work - true Americana stuff. His voice isn't quite what it used to be but let's hope he's truly beaten the cancer. The songs are very strong across the board.
