I'm just sitting here wondering when that DCM 620 will show up on ebay courtesy of Rickenbacker?

Peter, I am sorry you did not get your Blue Boy. They are around, however, and you will find one sooner or later if you are patient. I appreciate you not naming the dealer.

Peter, I really feel for you... what a sad story. It's a shame that your dealer did not follow through....twice!

My husband peruses eBay all the time, and I told him to keep an eye open for a 620 in Blueboy or in Midnight blue--so if he spots one we can let you know!

Thats beautiful. I would have been perfectly happy with a 660 DCM. But I was told it was "RED". I feel silly because I just didn't know what these were.

It would be beautiful if they would do a "special" RICKRESOURCE DCM620 Run for all the great people here. That would be the ultimate outcome for me is to get a cool special rick and have some friends get one too.

Peter, its no problem really. I know this dealer has a family, and I do not want anything to do with taking away their livelihood. I am a new parent myself with a 3 month old son. I have no axe to grind. I don't know his "true" motives, or why this happened to me. Its a bummer. But I can't punish his family in the process. I appreciate this forum as well and wouldn't want to do the wrong thing. My objective of this thread was to just WARN people about rickenbacker dealers. The low value of the dollar, the low numbers of production, the limited availibilty along with a super interested foreign market has made some really greedy dealers. If you can find a rickenbacker you are paying top top price for it. And its likely you could get screwed around with like I did. So just be cautious.

Thank you Mellisa. That is very nice of you. It would be super cool to have a guitar that had a cool story attached to it. I am a very sentimental person and I only keep guitars and amps and gear that has meaning to me. I like memories. It would be fantastic to have a rick that was found by a rick friend. It would be a nice ending to my story. I do like the midnight blue, but I feel like I need something different. It would be like having my old guitar back but without all the memories and experiances. I am looking everywhere daily. I have $1100 now burning a whole in my rickenbacker pocket(I know I probably need more for what I am looking for). I still want a blueboy mainly, a silver 620 would be fun. I think with a little patience and time a neat RICK will come my way. Especially with the help many of you are offering. I thank you. I am not guitarless. I have a nice martin acoustic and a nice fender jazzmaster. So I am not guitar poor. Just RICK poor

Thank you for the heads up. I am not trying to be picky, but part of why I liked my midnight blue and the blueboy was the uniqueness, the vibrant colors. Blue has always been my favorite color. And I always like the 60's fenders with their cool colors. I don't hate the standard rick colors like black, mapleglo, natural, fireglo, etc. I think they look fantastic but they just don't feel like me.

Peter, any interest in a 660 Blue Boy? It's going to be more than $1100 but it's NOS, still in the box.
