I'll admit it. I've been known to occasionally carry a Ric in a gig bag. TKL's HD (High Density) bags are thickly padded and offer extra protection in the headstock, bridge, and endpin areas. Lots of pockets allow me to easily store a cable, tuner, capo, strings, keywind/string-cutter, harmonicas, harmonica neck holder, and tabs. Of course, I look like a gypsy wagon when I strap it onto my back! I haven't encountered any problems. There are several of these higher quality, thickly padded units out there from different manufacturers. TKL is exceptional, IMHO. The nylon material they use is, well, indestructo! List price is 129 cheeseburgers but you can get away with consuming 85 of 'em. Late.....Goofyfoot.

Rics do NOT belong in gigbags. Carrying a case is cooler, in my opinion, anyway. Makes you look like a true rockstar.

For those of us who are Big Spenders, we can buy one of TKL's 100% leather gig bags...$700.00. Or we can burn seven 100 dollar bills.

Just by coincidence, there is a 360 listed on eBay right now, which has this beautiful (not) headstock.

Naawwhh, J-J. Can't strap that sucker on my back. Gig bags have shoulder straps. Hardshell cases don't. But again, I gig bag it only occasionally. Won't argue the fact that hardshell cases clearly provide more protection. In 30 some-odd years, however, nothing's happened. Nada. Niente. That's not to say something can happen.....whether encased in a gig bag or a hardshell case. Whatever floats one's boat.....
