When you get the chance I would be interested in knowing why the 1998 and 381 spend so much time in their cases. Are they yoo hard to carry on the Lammy.
Peter, simply because I find the 381 is very heavy (and it's rare these days I find the need for the 12-string sound) and the 1998 although it's a beautiful guitar, the vintage pickups don't have the oomph of the 330 hi-gain pickups.
You're right - it is a bit awkward carrying them on the Lammy!

Nice guitars all. About the 381: It's not as heavy as a Les Paul or anything, but it's definitely heavier than my Gretsch Silverjet, or my 360 WBs. The RIC website lists the weight as only a pound more than a 330 or 360, but this doesn't seem correct, based on the experience of having played each extensively. Anyone have any insight into this?

If you've got a Jetglo 360 W/B 12-string then you've got my

I will sometime in the near future. It will actually be a 365 with vintage pickups when I get it back. The guitar is having checkered binding applied to it, among other things. I can't wait to get it back.
Meanwhile, I do have pics of the following:

Now there's a tale!
Up until today I had a Peavey Classic 20 (small 15 watt tweed covered valve combo) however...
Last week I was perusing the internet as one does and came across the new Vox AC30 Classic Customs

which got me thinking... But even though they're reasonably priced at around £500 (for the single speaker model at least) I couldn't really justify the expense. Then I was looking on eBay on Sunday night and I came across one that had just been listed for sale, pickup only in Leeds. The listing said the seller was looking to downgrade so I sent him a cheeky question asking if he'd be interested in doing a trade from my Peavey plus some cash. Imagine my surprise when he said "Yes"!
We concluded the deal this evening. He's well happy with the Peavey and I'm over the moon with the AC30

(it's a good job our house is detached!

)
Note to self: Thats pics of Ricks with Lammy and with AC30 that need posting now!

Plus as my car is the same colour as my 330 (that's black 'n' white) who knows I might even post a pic of Rick & car too!
As for effects I've got a Line 6 Pod XT Live, which sounded great with the Peavey, but this evening while I as giving it a blast through the Vox it sounded pants! I think all the amp modelling stuff will be surplus to requirements now. After all there's no point having an AC30 and using DSP technology to try to make it sound like a Marshall is there!!

It looks I'll have to review it's use and maybe just use it for the delay, chorus, flanger, etc. One thing it does have is a good wah-wah (which I tend to use extensively though not that often with the Rickys it has to be said!)

I've also got a Boss AW2 auto-wah pedal - which has it's limited uses, again I don't tend to use it with the Rickys though, but it sounds great with my 62 Reissue Fender Telecaster.

Thanks! Here are a couple of nifty pics of JG 360 OS models(21 frets, plain soundhole)-not mine, of course, but they'll give you something to dream about, and perhaps pursue:
A 1968:
A 1962:
The only thing about the OS models that I find somewhat lacking is the fact that the soundholes do not have binding. Binding really accents the soundhole shape, IMHO. The rest of the guitar is so gorgeous I could live with it though

What you want is probably easier to find. Mine all came with "R" tailpieces, except my 381/6, which came with the Accent mounted, and the "R" tailpice wrapped up nicely in the case

. I am a complete whammy bar nut so I bought Accent vibrato units for all of my 6 string RICs from the boutique. The nice thing about them is that they are a completely reversible mod-no holes to drill! It's also far easier to change strings with the Accent tailpiece than with the "R" tailpiece, though I've gotten really good at restringing the "R" tailpiece as well.

I really like the aesthetics of the 'R' tailpiece, but you're right changing strings can be a real pain - especially on a 12-string!!

That goes great with my bass!

Where do I sign up?

Welcome, and thanks for adhering to the unwritten rule: If you are going to talk about your guitar, let's see a pic. Nice ones at that.
Can I see a pic of the 381/12 headstock up close? Those tuner ferrules look awful big for a V headstock.

Nice one Scotty - never seen that before, the scoot on the label looks like a Lammy LD
Cheers
