Melissa: Thanks for the wake up call.

Congratulations Alisha.

I hope no one was offended by my prior comment about "wonky". I had no idea about the earlier models with that pickguard with Reeves. I completely apologize! I hope Paul can accept my apology. His work is exceedingly lovely. I just thought the pickguards were oddly non-symmetrical. What I failed to realize, is Paul has accurately and wonderfully recreated them. So, again, I apologize and I commend the marvelous work!

Brd, I suspected that you (and some others) didn't have the historical cues--that's why I expanded on Richard's Jim Reeves comment, in order to provide some reference. Most acoustics have asymmetrical pickguards, from Martins to Gibsons, with few exceptions like the Everly Brothers model and a double-guard flat-top in RIC's own museum.

No offense taken at all. There are a lot of nastier words than "wonky"!

I have liked that pickguard from the first one that Paul built. I was aware of Jim Reeves guitar. That guard is like icing on a cake.

I'm a fairly new member of the forum and I have to say that your new acoustic looks great . Paul W. is building me a 730L acoustic and now after seeing yours I am more excited than ever .
Thanks for the pics

Wow, that's terrifically beautiful. It's given me a serious case of G.A.S.
Thanks!

Beautiful guitar Alisha and Paul!!
It was that guitar that prompted me to send my deposit check to Paul.
First time since I was a teenager that I want time to pass quickly.

Jerry, your first approaches ever-closer. It's the next acoustic in the spray booth, in fact...the second is still a couple/few months off.
