As far as 1964 goes I was always labouring under the impression of about 1600. I don't think they got to 2K.

Paul,

Thanks for the update to my post from last year.

I have always wondered how "rare a bird" Rick's are.

It would seem to me that at that production rate the prices are very fair. My thought (concern) was the less something is made/rare the more it sells for? Of course, supply and demand factors into to that and we know what that equation is relative Rick guitar/demand/back log.

Effective this February Fender has increased the price of the USA made Telecaster American Deluxe guitar from a MSRP of $1799 to $2190 and they must surely make more a year of that guitar than RIC does of 360/6's a year? More RIC price increases on the way?

I snagged my 660/12 AFG last week before I get priced out.

That has always been a big question I have had.
I have a Aprill 1977 362/12 can't find any production numbers of any kind for any year.
While I have had mine since 1980, I realy don't play it much and was kicking around
with the idea of selling it. But at what price? Even some of the so called Price Guides
Don't seem to have a listing for the 362. Are the production number that low for that model.
I have read that the 362 was of a special order Guitar so mabe the numbers for that model
are truely that low.

Somebody mentioned a guesstimate of 25 guitars/day translating into 9125 (25x365). I'm not sure how that number could be extrapolated to 365 days/year if for almost a third of that time the factory would be closed. Assuming 25/day is correct, the total really should reflect actual working days, so if the factory shuts down on weekends, there's 260 production days, less Christmas, New Years, Easter, July 4 etc so say 248 production days, yielding 6200 guitars/year.

(In my other life, before I retired, I was an evil HR Director)

Need to take in account the two weeks each summer they completely shutdown. :)

Roughly 10,000 a year, according to a recent article.
