That was a really neat post. I felt a right idiot to start with, but I am now accepting my affliction as an idiot and I can't get my avatar thingy to work either!!

Someone kindly pasted my pictures for me and kindly told me to look at the bottom of the screen where it said in big letters "click here idiot, if you want to post a piccy" I have been too embarrassed to tell anyone I can't get the avatar thingy to work. Yes, it tells me the file size is too big, but I don' t understand :(
It is composed of too many kilobytes. Send me the photo you want to use and I'll edit/compress it for so that the file size is within limits, then send it back to you. It's a snap. Remember when I edited your gig photos? :D

Sarah, with the PXIresizer it’s pretty easy. Open the PIXresizer, Click the ‘Load Picture’ and navigate on your computer where the picture you want is located and double click on it. In box 2 select ‘Custom Size’, ensure that ‘Maintain aspect ratio’ is checked; and for the biggest number of the pair, enter the number for the max size you are allowed. Like for attachments, I believe the size if 500x500. So you’d enter 500 in the box under ‘Custom size’ that has the largest number in it. In box 3 select JPEG and then click ‘Save Picture’ in box 4. You should now have a picture that is the correct size to plop into the forum. Most of the other editors can be that easy as well. Good luck with it!

Welcome to the canteen, Mike. You're among friends.......cool cats who know much about Rickenbackers. Quite a nice quiver you have there, brah. Play on, pick often, jam with Toast(ers)®, and prosper. Best regards....Goofyfoot.

Another stupid easy thumbnail resizer - specify the size, the file, and the destination.

Thanks for the warm welcome folks, glad to finally be here. Thanks for all the Avatar advice as well. I will be posting some more pix soon when I can get some really nice shots with the digital camera. Very hit and miss trying to really capture the beauty of these wonderful and unique instruments.
