Now this is an interesting statement, considering how many Ric guitarists on this forum probably own Vox Python straps because John had one.
Well, we all have our own obsessions, I guess. Otherwise I can't explain why I bought Beatle boots, had my mom make me a coat like the boys wore at the Shea Stadium and spent hours in front of a mirror combing my hair so it would look like Paul's.

But I was 16 then. 43 years later, having a strap just like Paul's doesn't seem all that important. I'll admit that I use the old style skinny strap with a movable pad on my Hofner, but I do that because the bass isn't heavy enough to require anything more. And I don't like the way the bass hangs--it rotates away from me. And not because my belly is bigger than Paul's,either!
Now, if I were in band like Ronn's, where they do two separate sets of Beatles material, I'd get a Rick and take a stab at the MMT paint job. But I'd just use my regular 3-inch wide Levy' padded strap on it.

Nope, just a can of red Krylon.

Yes Ronn, I do like it a lot. You did a great paint job. I don't think I would have the courage you did though.

Did you do a lot of masking or did you kind of just hope for the best?

Ever think about converting that bass to 1/2" spacing? What's the story with the various mods?

Nope.
Replaced the original hi-gains with toaster and horseshoe. That's about it. Oh, and the knobs.

OK. I found a guy that says he can make this strap for $45.00. I ordered one. If anone else is interested email me and I'll give you the info. Or if you want to wait until I get mine and see what I think that would work too.

Ringo always used a small kit, but this video always cracks me up. Did they find that drum kit at the local KayBee toy store?
As for the strap, my 2 cents is that I ordered a tan Ric strap for my 350 and the quality is very good. The strap arrived about 15 feet too long, but a pair of scissors and a leather punch took care of that little oddity.

I think that was his 18" bass drum kit. Its not that the kit is small its that his drum stool is really high lol

Nope...for that video, they got both a child's drum set and a giant kit in addition to Ringo's regular one. They used different ones on different shots. Ringo's main kits by Ludwig were with a 20" kick in the early days and then 22" from then on, as long as he was with a Ludwig in black oyster pearl.
