We used to have what they called over here "go go dancers" accompany us on many of our gigs. The gigs were quite elaborate affairs much of the time, but I digress. They created a dance routine and the radio station that adopted us picked up on it's unique footwork and gave it that name. Needing a new name the band decided to call itself Meddy's People despite my objections in the beginning ( I was outvoted). Meddy was a play on my last name. I was the youngest in the band and I also, albeit reluctantly became the leader.

But enough about me. What about the rest of you? Surely we are not the only ones who have things to add to this scrap book?

OK, so I got the video into an uploadable format.
No Rickenbackers, but my lovely (and almost brand spanking new) Epiphone is on display. It is also interesting that 5 of the 8 people in these videos are in the current band, and our current drummer joined just a couple of months after this performance.

The group playing a concert in 1971



Same five original members plus two who joined later playing another concert in the same room in April of 2008 (they sold the pipe organ). Pretty much the same audience, too.

This is a song our piano player wrote after the reunion. He stuck a little hand-held digital recorder on the piano and recorded it and sent it to me a couple weeks ago. Just for fun I got out the Hofner and dubbed in a bass track.

Thanks Todd for posting the pics and the tracks. I am blown away. Your recordings are excellent, especially when you consider the vintage of the first two. What a great addition to the scrap book.
