Welcome Brian.

I have no knowledge of Snake Oils but I wouldn't use Pyramids on anything. I have seen first hand the damage they can do due to their high tension.

Hi Ken...thanks.....amazing what you do when you get a new guitar...a midnight blue 330/6 showed up a couple of weeks ago!

If anything, the Snake Oils have lower tension due to a finer core. I'm using an 11 gauge set on this Ric with a wound 18G and it is just 1965 all over again! Somehow these strings sound just so clear with single coil PUs.

Whoa...please tell me more.
All I have used on my 330 since 1995 is pyramid 11's.
I'd like to know more about the Snake Oil strings though...they are priced right.
I use D'Addario Chromes on my J-160E copy...they sound ace but have never tried them on my Ric

Hi Ken,

Yeah, I have a set in my 360v64 case, but after consultation with Paul W. I decided against them. Anyone want an unused set of Pyramids for their Ricky 12 ???? No, they'll probably just sit in the case like the Accent vibrato in my 325JL case for years. Someday maybe someone might want to buy them cheap...... :D

Cheers,

Gary
