You seem to have missed the perennial favourite word most often mispronounced by North Americans..........TOMATOES. Now say that the English/Australian way you lot, ten times. You have to admit that it sounds much better that way.........

According to an article on the web "Aluminium was also the accepted spelling in the U.S. until 1925, at which time the American Chemical Society officially decided to use the name aluminum thereafter in their publications."

Well, the American Chemical Society could have at least copied us into the memo. We've been wasting 83 years of "i"s all this time.
