May I be the first (I'm sure not the last) to wish you the best birthday ever!!!
I second that emotion, especially since I'm
well past fashionably late....
Happy Belated Birthday Paul! And MANY more to come!
John

Thanks, John. Thanks to everyone else, too, and to George who opened the thread and Peter for giving us a home.
We had a nice party on the 27th at the new house, and North of Malibu played for about 45 minutes to a group of about 50 friends. My brother Woodie grilled some tri-tip on the Weber, homemade enchiladas were also put up, a lot of good drinks were poured, and we had fun rearranging the parking.
I'm in denial now...somehow I fell asleep at 35 and woke up on the 29th not feeling a day older, dammit.
The inmates are in charge of the government asylum, I have a different, more beautiful wife and a lovely young daughter, and I went from beautiful cars to beautiful guitars. The people I know now are nicer than the ones I knew then (with a few long-term exceptions who've aways been great friends), and music is a bigger part of my life than ever.
I guess things, on balance, are terrific after all. But I'm 35, I swear it.

Hmm, 35 huh? I've seen pictures, looks like you've had a bit rougher 35 years than some. Of course, I have little room to talk, I haven't looked 35 for at least 15 years or so even though I'm sure I haven't hit 40 yet...

Hi Paul,
I just got back from Tonga and see you've turned another page. You apparently have added an eye patch as well.
Happy 36th!

Paul, I don't know how I missed this thread, but I want to wish you a belated Happy Birthday. I trust your day was as great as 18th anniversary of my 39th birthday was for me last Friday.

Once again, I'm late to the party. Have a wonderful (and now belated) birthday!

I think the key to staying young is to act immature in some ways..we call it young... my wife calls it immature, but it runs in my family-my grandmother is 94 and has been counting backwards since she turned 50...she's now MINUS 54 years old!!!!
