I just got used to the new FG looking brillant and then this one comes out. This is really oversprayed. Distinctive, but the burst is only around the bridge PUP. Shame.

I dunno...seeing that and the BBR that's on this thread's first page, it seems like it could be possible that Peter Cook's photos might be a bit off?

It may not be typical for FG but it is still a really nice looking finish. :D

Yeah, I can see that. And it is true that (web) photography rarely catches it right.

It's down to taste I guess, but this one (from the same shop) looks perfect - apart from being a deviant lefty :wink:

Top FG looks in-store, artificial (incandescent) lighting; very low and warm colo(u)r temperature.

Bottom photo, daylight on (rare) bright, full-sunny day. Both seem to have ****** flash, too.

Only too true.

There is a 370 on eBay (with Pithespy) which is slightly darker than the new norm, with a beautiful finish (see pic below) and the conditions you've highlighted would certainly make that one appear darker still.

If I lived closer to Peter Cook's I would check out their 370, then again if I lived closer I would have to buy more RICs. :roll:

Chris had a 360 with the same finish as that first photo; it looks great! :D

BTW, hi from pre-MARF! :mrgreen: We have already had a great time and this was just a few of us getting things ready. I already made some new friends here. :D

I also posted this in the online sightings thread;

Is anyone else watching this one?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0345655629

Seems a bit steep to me,i emailed him asking would he sell the 1997 separately,
but no,he 's only selling as a pair,strange in this climate!

What are 1997 reissues's going for here in the UK nowdays anyway?

Anyone?
