I have a few old partially working Sparcstations and a working Sun Ultra 10 (Running solaris 9). I also have an alphaserver 500 (Running debian).
I -sort off- used to collect old Suns (pizza and lunchboxes) and run them for some kind of internal home use (nfs, dns, .....) on either Solaris or *BSD. But I have to admit they did not get much use since we moved to our new place.

Jim,

I have my fingers crossed for your Ric to show up "soon", but you need a Mac!

Oh how well I know that! I hate P.C.s and if I had it to do over again I would certainly get a Mac

I'd love to set up a home recording studio using a Mac

A reworked Dynaco made to the Manley VTL Ultimate circuit. Haven't had either plugged in in a few years... :(

I met David Manley at the first Stereophile Hi-Fi Show in Santa Monica in '87. Very nice guy; he spent lots of time with my friend, warren, and I. David even offered to help Warren with some mods for his old HH SCott tubed receiver, and followed through!

His ex, Eve Anna is quite a piece of work; have you ever visited this place ?
