Welllll... sorry if this is raking up a dead thread!* I was trying to reply to this post last week, but the new network that our school had installed at a cost of around £250,000 decided not to work anymore. I should add that I work in the music department, and we have trouble getting the funds to buy new guitar strings or CD-rs!
I have now re-configured my machine to bypass the network, 8)

My 'place' of work is the school recording studio, which is pretty much off the beaten track, and as much of what I do involves video editing and rendering, I have lots of time to ahem, research and listen to music. Right now I am in the process of transferring and editing the video of last night's Christmas concert. Totally legit, guv'nor!
It might not be the best-paid job in the world, but it beats working for a living!
