So true, but I sure wouldn't dare taking the wood out to move to the 1/2" spacing!!rickenbrother wrote:I think so too Dane. It almost looks like a Jetglo V63 with 8 strings to me anyway.

4003s/8
Well that and because it used to be mine.....rickaddict wrote:You just like anything that matches your Buick, gearhead!incubus2432 wrote: My favorite!

I wouldn't think of removing wood to move the neck pickup to 1/2" spacing on an 8 string. A RIHS pickup with a vintage surround (if I could find one) and a vintage style pickguard are the changes I would consider. The possibility of me doing any of that is little to none anyway.johnallg wrote:aceonbass wrote:Vintage trim would look nice on it.So true, but I sure wouldn't dare taking the wood out to move to the 1/2" spacing!!rickenbrother wrote:I think so too Dane. There is a lot to that actually. I have always felt that my S/8 and my V63 were nearly the same bass. They have the same body shape (horn sizes and depth of the cut-aways) and the necks are about the same shape.
