Well, eventually. How about before that?
Do you mean Roadmaster or even before that?

If he was a pirate he would most certainly get ten lashes and a keel hauling for breaking the ONLY rule put in place. Perhaps Tammy would be able to administer a similar punishment in the dungeon.

Yep, I was thinking of Roadmaster. I was living (and gigging) in Indiana back when they were getting big. Talked with him a couple of times, can't remember much about it anymore. I've got a few of their albums somewhere in the long neglected stack of vinyl...

OK, it's been a week and so far, the only answer was a guess at the extra credit part, that he calls himself "Bill". So, either I've stumped everyone, or everyone just lost interest...

Anyway, a week is plenty long enough, so here's the answer:

William "Bill" Fiorio is a guitarist and was an early member of REO Speedwagon. For the extra credit answer, after leaving REO Speedwagon, he became primarily a blues musician, going by the name of Duke Tumatoe with his band "The All Star Frogs".

Lately, he calls the band "The Power Trio".

I have a feeling that, without cheating, no one would have guessed that, anyway!

OK, so I'm into odd, little known musicians. I guess being one myself, I tend to relate to them better. Actually, when I was in college back in the late 70's, early 80's we used to hang out with Duke a fair amount. Got to know him pretty well, nice guy. I've got a few autographed albums around somewhere - I'll bet those are worth a fortune these days...
