Definitely worth exploring Jeffrey, but in this case a misleading part of the puzzle.

Okay, another shot/guess:

Artist: Jake Kety

Influences: Tom Petty, Pete Townshend

I keep coming back to some one who has the nickname of Buck, or Butch, either of which can be constructed from Cub Hitty. Except I'm not aware of any Forum members with that nickname. Except with this guess, there are some leftover letters.

Ron: Not Jake.

Jim: Not Buck nor Butch.

A few more hints.

1. I wonder where an RRF member who likes John Lennon and George Harrison might post on this forum.

2. Further, there is at least one other musical influence that might be helpful in identifying a place here where he might post. To my ears there is another influence that rings true when listening to this tune that no one has identified as yet.

3. Given some switching in thinking the title may lead you to his whereabouts.

Cub Hitty, The famous Cubs, baseball club of Chicago. I say Chicago. And that puts in mind thoughts of the late Mr. Steve Goodman as a further influence.

Is Joni Mitchell an influence?

Steve Goodman and Joni Mitchel were not submitted as influences.

Hint: The RRF singer-songwriter and performer of this song is American.
