Was that on eBay in Germany? I remember spotting that and trying to arrange with a Forumite in Germany to help me purchase it as the seller would not ship overseas. By the time I had all the pieces in place, it was gone. I think it was around $2000 or so, and collectors would have paid around $3000 at least. But right now the market is stagnant due to the economies. But, if you are looking to sell, I'm still interested!

yeah, that must have been the one. I lived nearby by that time and picked it up. As far as the value is concerned, I would assume that it should be more than $3000 though, even in today's economy. But I guess it's hard to predict without testing the waters on Ebay. Ideally one would find a collector who was looking for that exact instrument.

A little more than a year has gone by. Has anything new been discovered that would answer some of the questions tabled in this thread?
